Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look back at a somewhat obscure golf sim known as "The Scottish Open: Virtual Golf" in Europe, or just "Virtual Golf" in North America, developed by a tiny number of people over at Core Design, being self-published by them in Europe in 1995, with the lesser-known North American variant published the same year by Front Street Publishing.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Just so we're clear, part of the reason I'm being so hard on this game for making up courses and history is because those details were being presented alongside a REAL golf course and its history. It's incredibly misleading because of that, not to mention again, the real course is locked off something fierce and none of the fake courses are in Scotland, so the namesake of the game basically ends up being trampled. :(
